
Shipping and Receiving Technician

Job Description:
The shipping and receiving technician will unload, sort, and document the receipt of packages, products, and supplies, arrange inventory in the appropriate areas, and prepare products for shipping to our customers. This is a position that requires a great deal of organization and some handiness with tools. You will be required to drive a fork truck, lift up to sixty pounds unaided, and be able to bend, crouch, and lift items throughout your shift.
While performing this role, the successful candidate will be simultaneously training with our technical services manager and will ultimately transition to our technical services team, providing technical support by phone and email to our customers and supporting repair and installation in the field.
Key Responsibilities:

Managing the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.

Collaborating with operations, customer service representatives, the sales team, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.

Track, trace, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.

Maintain an organized shipping station and efficient arrangement of inventory.

Load and unload trucks and sort inventory.

Assisting technical team with repairs and installations.

Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:

Ability to quickly learn, identify problems, and bring forth solutions working with cross-functional teams with a collaborative team mindset.

Some background and interest in science and technology.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Independent go getter – ability to take directions and bring back completed projects with minimum direction.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in or with the Heavy Duty On Road and/or Off Road Industry.

Technical competency with 12V DC electronics and basic automotive mechanics
